Someone has this new version? I wonder how many defective memories from the ZX are able to spill out. All in all, it may be better than killing the test ZX.

Because of the new "Prof Rev.1.x" I have several Rev.8 and Rev.7 PCBs left.
I do not want to dump the PCBs because the tester (with switches) works very well.
When you are interested in getting one of these you can get one Rev.8 or Rev.7 PCB (inkl. one DC/DC-Module PCB) for 10 EUR only plus 5 EUR for shipping within the EU.

HI
there are new features available:
The newest firmware allows to save the content of all supported (E)PROMs on an SD card.
The second feature allows to save the test result on SD card. So the data that has been read during a test phase is stored in a file, so you can check which memory cells are good/bad.
There is an English manual that describes the features

Hi,
there is a new feature available: Testing of SIMM- and SIPP-modules (30 pins only, up to 1 Mbyte).
Also lots of bipolar ROMs have been added and you should be able to save the content on SD card:
7488, 74188, 74288, 74187, 74287, 74387, 74S271, 74S371, 74470, 74471, 74S270, 74S370, 74570, 74571, 74472, 74473, 74476, 74477, 74572, 74573, 74S450, 74S451, 82S23, 82S123, 82S126, 82S129, 93426, 93427, K155PE23, HM-7648, HM-7649
I was not able to test this feature myself because I do not have these ROMs in my chips collection, so it is still marked as "under testing".

"Innovation" is a bit of an exaggeration. :)
I was annoyed that I could not test my chips and was looking for a solution. From 16x4 it was not a problem, but this 16 bit chip simply couldn't be addressed due to the signal level.
Probably only a few collectors of pinball machines will need it, otherwise the chip will be hard to find.

A few thoughts after a few sessions with the tester:
* very thoughtful and pleasant to assemble design (I only added a stand and now it maintains full stability and separation from the table surface :))
* I most often use the option to test the 4116/4164 memory - without having to insert / remove it from the test disc, I get clear OK / NOK information within a few seconds. I must say that he managed to detect an error in the memory, which I thought was quite functional - for verification, I ran a test with DiagROM, which after several dozen runs showed an error :) Super ...
* an interesting option is testing / determining the E-bone signatures (PROM)
* testing systems from the 74xx family is also very OK (you no longer need to take the tester out and connect it to the laptop)
I can see that Stephan is very active in developing software for the tester and new functionality is appearing every now and then (currently, a survey on the direction of interface development is underway :)). It looks really good
